We are currently seeking an Account Manager with project management experience to join the Extreme team, a leading digital marketing agency, in our Harrogate office.

We're hiring - Senior Account Manager

Our client base spans many business sectors with marketing projects across retail, food and drink, interiors, health and other specialist industries. The position will require the management of key clients and their varied digital activities plus management of website builds. The candidate would gather a full understanding of the client’s business and become an extension of their team whilst managing their needs within the agency. You must be able to intercept, interpret and disseminate important information effectively.

The account management role involves being the go to person for all of your clients’ needs and acting as the linchpin of any campaigns for the agency internally whilst seeking any opportunities for account growth. The project management aspect means you need to be able to create, maintain and deliver a solid project plan to budget and deadline whilst co-ordinating all internal and external stakeholders.

Salary dependent on experience. This position reports to the head of client services

The role

  • Being the primary point of contact for allocated accounts and ensuring excellent communication between the our internal teams and all levels of client stakeholders
  • Full management of website projects including planning, budgeting, overseeing, time-tracking and documenting all aspects.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Lead strategic campaign planning
  • Ensure high standards of service are delivered to maximise client retention
  • Monitor and communicate service levels and time spent on clients internally and externally
  • Coordinate client requirements and clearly brief internal design, developer and marketing teams
  • Facilitate direct communication between client and company experts when necessary
  • Liaise with client to keep them informed on progress and ensure requirements are met
  • Keep abreast of industry news, digital opportunities and client sector developments and competitor activity
  • Proactively seek and exploit opportunities for business development and upselling using a consultative approach
  • Maintain up to date customer information and contact records on the company’s CRM system
  • Attend, organise and lead quarterly review meetings
  • Own and build client relationships, ensuring high standards of service are delivered at all times to maximise client retention

Requirements

  • Solid communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of digital and general marketing strategy
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and plenty of initiative
  • The skills to deduce and understand a client's wider business objectives and steer their strategy accordingly
  • Excellent project management skills
  • A background in managing efficient website builds
  • A proven track record of building and growing client relationships
  • A flexible approach to working to tight or changing client deadlines
  • Ability to present and report back to clients on analytics and ideas
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Experience of managing multiple campaigns, stakeholders and contacts simultaneously
  • Superb organization and time management skills

Knowledge of digital marketing channels including SEO, PPC, Mobile, Social Media and Web Development would be advantageous. Digital agency experience is favourable.
